So, yeah, saw it Saturday. It was a big meh for me.
Visually damn nice, though IMO, the 3D stuff added next to nothing, other than $3. I had actually been holding out until I could get to a theater that had 2D, but ended up seeing it in 3D anyway due to random chance (I decided to just see the next movie showing after I got to the mall).
Outside of visuals though, I really found a lot of it trite and full of WAY too many coincidences. One thing that really stick in my mind... the shuttle's gonna go blow up the tree. Explosives primed, and about to drop, so Jake blows up an engine... fine... except... it should now be on a collision course with said tree. Not to mention, as it bucks up and down, those explosives, at least the palette ready to drop, should be falling out of it.

Maybe I'm just being too hard on it. Maybe, but the unilateral praise of the movie made me walk in with greater expectations than I'd usually have had.

Was it bad? No. Wasn't worth $10. Though, now I've got trippy half-polarized brainy-specs.

I saw it earlier this week. I had waited until the college and high school kids went back to school so I could enjoy a matinee without it being over run. I thought it was really pretty but the story and acting was nothing spectacular. I didn't think it was bad, but it was predictable. Still the Turok and some of the other creatures were really freaking cool. Needs more power armor though.
